Special Friends
The Kidnew family is a dear family in our church. We are all currently long-distance from relatives, so we have become substitute family to each other. This portrait was taken on their vacation property along Lake Ontario. Will (13), Tiffany (16), and Robert (10) helped Julie sneak their clothes and the camera down to the waterfront and then kept the secret until we presented a 20x24" hand-colored portrait to their parents for Christmas.
One of our favorite portraits so far is this one of Emma Meisenheimer. Emma is one month younger than Kacie and they are the best of friends. This family was the answer to our prayers for friends when we first moved to Princeton. We met them in our LaMaze classes before the girls were born. Emma's grandpa is the pastor of the Weslyan church in Princeton, so Emma goes to church there.
